Thread & Metal Designs was built on more than craftsmanship. Every ornament we sell begins with artisans in Hyderabad, and it's a community we care about far beyond the workshop floor.

As co-founders and as mothers each raising a son, we recently visited a boys' orphanage in Hyderabad, along with our own sons. We brought coloring activity books and crayons, and spent the afternoon with boys who welcomed us with open arms, easy laughter, and a fierce love of cricket.

That visit stayed with us. So this spring, we're introducing a special collection inspired by the same spirit: a Beacon of Hope and a Tree of Life, hand-embroidered in the zardozi tradition our brand is built on. A large portion of every sale will go directly back to the boys' orphanage — funding school uniforms and sports equipment so the boys can keep playing the cricket, volleyball, and basketball they love.

It's a small thread connecting a boutique shelf in the U.S. to a courtyard in Hyderabad. We think that's exactly what a beacon of hope should do.
